How the CVE Works
CVE-2025-8875 is a critical deserialization flaw in N-able N-central before version 2025.3.1. The vulnerability arises when the software improperly deserializes untrusted data, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code locally. By crafting malicious serialized objects, an attacker can exploit insecure deserialization processes, leading to full system compromise. The flaw is network-exploitable (AV:N) with low attack complexity (AC:L), requiring low privileges (PR:L) and no user interaction (UI:N). Successful exploitation results in high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability (VC:H/VI:H/VA:H).
