How the CVE Works
LaRecipe versions before 2.8.1 fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input in template rendering, allowing attackers to inject malicious template code. The engine processes unfiltered payloads, enabling Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI). Attackers can craft payloads to execute arbitrary system commands, leading to Remote Code Execution (RCE). The vulnerability arises due to unsafe dynamic template compilation without proper sandboxing.
