How the mentioned CVE works:
The vulnerability exists in the `clpplus` command-line processor utility of IBM Db2. When a user provides their database credentials as command-line arguments to connect, the `clpplus` process fails to clear these sensitive arguments from its command-line parameters. In Unix-like systems, any user with sufficient privileges to run commands like `ps` can view the command-line arguments of all running processes. This allows a local attacker on the system to observe the Db2 username and password in clear text by listing the process information while the `clpplus` session is active, leading to a direct compromise of the database credentials.
