How the CVE Works
The Grafana Infinity Datasource Plugin (<1.4.2) suffers from an SSRF vulnerability due to improper URL validation. Attackers can craft malicious URLs to bypass allowed endpoint restrictions, forcing the plugin to send unauthorized internal requests. This could lead to data exposure, internal service scanning, or abuse of trusted server permissions. The flaw arises from insufficient sanitization of user-supplied URLs before processing HTTP/HTTPS requests.
