Online Medicine Guide, SQL Injection, CVE-2025-60736 (Critical)

Listen to this Post

How the mentioned CVE works

The vulnerability exists in the `login.php` file of Online Medicine Guide 1.0. The application fails to properly sanitize user-controlled input received via the `upass` (user password) POST parameter during the authentication process. An attacker can submit a specially crafted SQL payload within this parameter. This malicious input is then directly concatenated into the SQL query string used to verify login credentials on the backend database server without any filtering or parameterization. This allows the attacker to break out of the intended SQL command syntax and append their own arbitrary SQL commands. Successful exploitation enables the execution of unauthorized database operations, potentially leading to authentication bypass, extraction of sensitive data (like admin credentials or patient records), modification of database contents, or in some cases, full server compromise depending on database permissions and configuration.
