Ollama, Arbitrary File Deletion, CVE-2025-XXXX (Moderate)

Listen to this Post

How the CVE Works:

The vulnerability in Ollama v0.1.33 arises due to insufficient input validation in the `/api/pull` endpoint. Attackers can craft malicious packets containing file paths, which the application processes without proper sanitization. This allows unauthorized deletion of arbitrary files on the system. The lack of authentication checks and path traversal safeguards enables exploitation, potentially leading to system instability or data loss.
