How the CVE Works
The CVE-2025-XXXXX vulnerability in OliveTin 2025.4.22 arises due to improper sanitization of user-supplied input in the `ParseRequestURI` function within service/internal/executor/arguments.go. Attackers can inject malicious OS commands via crafted HTTP requests, leveraging custom theme handling. This allows arbitrary command execution under the web server’s privileges, leading to system compromise. The lack of input validation and secure shell command construction enables this exploit.
