Mattermost Confluence Plugin, Improper Input Validation, CVE-2025-XXXX (Moderate)

Listen to this Post

The CVE-2025-XXXX vulnerability in the Mattermost Confluence Plugin (versions < 1.5.0) arises due to improper validation of incoming webhook request bodies. The plugin fails to handle malformed or unexpected input, leading to a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. Attackers can exploit this by repeatedly sending specially crafted invalid payloads to the webhook endpoint, causing the plugin to crash. The lack of proper error handling for unusual conditions allows unauthenticated remote attackers to disrupt service availability.
