How the CVE Works
The vulnerability exists in the `entry_cover_image_caption.jsp` file of Liferay Portal’s blogs-web module. Due to improper input sanitization, an attacker can craft a malicious URL containing JavaScript payloads. When a victim visits the manipulated URL, the script executes in their browser context, leading to reflected XSS. The attack requires user interaction but can be used to steal sessions, deface pages, or perform actions on behalf of the victim.
