How the CVE Works
The CVE-2025-XXXX vulnerability in ExecuTorch arises due to improper bounds checking during model loading. An integer overflow occurs when processing maliciously crafted input, leading to insufficient memory allocation. Attackers can exploit this by supplying oversized tensors, causing heap corruption and potentially arbitrary code execution. The flaw resides in the model deserialization logic, where unchecked arithmetic operations allow memory corruption. This affects ExecuTorch versions before commit 8f062d3f661e20bb19b24b767b9a9a46e8359f2b.
