How the CVE Works:
CVE-2025-5450 exploits improper access control in Ivanti Connect Secure (before 22.7R2.8) and Ivanti Policy Secure (before 22.7R1.5). A remote authenticated admin with read-only privileges can bypass intended restrictions and modify critical certificate management settings. This occurs due to flawed role-based access checks, allowing unauthorized changes that could compromise secure communications, leading to MITM attacks or credential theft.
