When developers execute certificate checks via specific command parameters, the application processes user inputs without sanitizing special expression characters. Because organization paths and repository s can contain periods, attackers exploit wildcard interpolation logic to spoof trusted signers. This flaw compromises supply chain controls by letting lookalike repository identities bypass strict authorization policies.
