Filemanager, Relative Path Traversal, CVE-2025-XXXX (Moderate)

Listen to this Post

This CVE exploits a path traversal vulnerability in Filemanager v2.5.0 and below. Attackers craft a malicious HTTP request to filemanager.php, using `../` sequences to escape the intended directory. The application fails to sanitize user-supplied input, allowing unauthorized access to files outside the web root. This can lead to sensitive data exposure, remote code execution, or server compromise. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input validation in the file-handling logic.
