Drupal Acquia DAM, Missing Authorization, CVE-2025-XXXX (High)

Listen to this Post

The mentioned CVE-2025-XXXX is a Missing Authorization vulnerability in the Drupal Acquia DAM module. This flaw allows an attacker to perform forceful browsing, also known as an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) attack. The module fails to properly check access permissions for certain privileged routes or assets. Consequently, an unauthenticated or low-privileged user can directly access administrative URLs or restricted resources by manipulating the browser’s address bar or crafting direct HTTP requests. This bypasses the intended authorization controls, potentially granting unauthorized access to sensitive data or administrative functions within the Drupal site’s integration with Acquia DAM. The vulnerability is present in all versions from the module’s inception up to, but not including, version 1.1.5.
Platform: Drupal Module
