The CVE-2025-54563 vulnerability arises from flawed access control in the Application Server of Desktop Alert PingAlert versions 6.1.0.11 to 6.1.1.2. The server does not properly validate user permissions for incoming remote requests. This allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass security checks by crafting specific HTTP requests. When these requests are sent to sensitive server endpoints, the system fails to enforce authorization rules. Consequently, the server responds with confidential information that should be restricted. The flaw is rooted in the request handling logic where access control lists are missing or improperly implemented. Attackers can exploit this over the network without any user interaction. The vulnerability leads to remote disclosure of system data, configurations, or user details. This compromises confidentiality and may facilitate additional attacks. The issue is remotely exploitable, making it a critical threat to affected systems.
