The CVE-2025-14008 vulnerability is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) flaw in dayrui XunRuiCMS up to version 4.7.1. It occurs in the administrative file `admin79f2ec220c7e.php` within the `test_site_domain` function of the API module, used for testing project domain changes. The function accepts a `v` parameter to specify a domain for validation. However, inadequate input sanitization allows attackers to inject arbitrary URLs into the `v` parameter. When processed, the server initiates HTTP requests to the supplied URL, enabling SSRF. This permits remote, authenticated admin users to manipulate the server into making requests to internal or external systems. Attackers can exploit this to probe internal networks, access sensitive services like cloud metadata, or use the server as a proxy for malicious activities. The vulnerability requires high privileges (admin access) but is easily exploitable via crafted GET requests. Published exploits demonstrate data exfiltration from internal resources. The vendor has not responded to disclosures, leaving systems unpatched. This highlights common security gaps in input validation and endpoint security, emphasizing the need for allowlisting domains and restricting outbound connections.
dailycve form:
Platform: dayrui XunRuiCMS
Version: <= 4.7.1
Vulnerability: SSRF
Severity: Medium
date: 2025-12-04

What Undercode Say:
Analytics:
curl -X GET "http://target.com/admin79f2ec220c7e.php?c=api&m=test_site_domain&v=http://internal-service.local"
// Example vulnerable code snippet $v = $_GET['v']; $url = "http://" . $v; $response = file_get_contents($url);
How Exploit:
Craft GET request with malicious `v` parameter to access internal services or cloud metadata via server-side requests.
Protection from this CVE:
Upgrade if patched, restrict endpoint access, validate input allowlists, limit outbound connections.
Impact:
Internal network exposure, data leakage, server misuse.
