How the CVE Works
The vulnerability in CodeIgniter (versions < 4.6.2) arises when using ImageMagick (imagick) for image processing. Attackers exploit this via:
1. File Uploads: Malicious filenames with shell metacharacters execute arbitrary commands during resize().
2. Text Operations: User-controlled input in `text()` method triggers command injection.
The framework fails to sanitize these inputs, allowing shell execution under the web server’s context.
