This vulnerability in Cisco ISE and ISE-PIC allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as root due to improper input validation in a specific API. Attackers craft malicious API requests, bypassing authentication, to inject and execute commands on the underlying OS. The lack of input sanitization enables arbitrary code execution with root privileges, compromising the entire system.
