How the CVE Works:
CVE-2025-55193 affects Active Record in Ruby on Rails, where user-supplied input passed to methods like `find` is logged without proper ANSI escape sequence sanitization. When this logged output is displayed in a terminal, malicious ANSI control characters can manipulate terminal behavior—altering output, executing commands, or obscuring logs. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input validation before logging, allowing attackers to inject terminal control sequences via crafted input.
