Listen to this Post

How the CVE Works:

CVE-2025-48000 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Windows Connected Devices Platform Service (CDPSvc). This occurs when the service fails to properly manage memory pointers after freeing an object. An attacker with local access can exploit this by manipulating the freed memory to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges. The flaw stems from improper synchronization during device management operations, allowing malicious code to hijack the execution flow.
