How CVE-2026-62474 Works

CVE-2026-62474 is an improper authorization vulnerability affecting the Oracle Lease and Finance Management product within the Oracle E-Business Suite. The flaw resides specifically in the Lease Authoring component, which governs the creation and management of lease contracts. The vulnerability affects Oracle Lease and Finance Management versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15.
The root cause of this vulnerability is inadequate authorization controls within the Lease Authoring module. The software fails to properly enforce access restrictions when processing requests, allowing low-privileged users to bypass normal security checks. This flaw aligns with CWE-285 (Improper Authorization) and is also associated with CWE-269 (Improper Privilege Management) and CWE-306 (Missing Authentication for Critical Function).
