How the CVE Works:
CVE-2021-22931 is a critical vulnerability in Node.js that allows remote code execution due to improper input validation in the `http2` module. Attackers can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted HTTP/2 request, triggering an out-of-bounds write or read. This occurs because Node.js fails to properly handle certain malicious header fields, leading to memory corruption. The exploit can bypass security restrictions, enabling arbitrary code execution under the Node.js process context.
