How the CVE Works:
Memos v0.24.3 and prior fails to sanitize image URLs in markdown content. Attackers can craft malicious memos containing JavaScript payloads disguised as image URLs (e.g., )). When victims view the memo, their browsers execute the script in the context of the Memos domain, enabling session hijacking, cookie theft, or redirection to phishing sites. The vulnerability stems from inadequate input validation during markdown parsing and lack of Content Security Policy (CSP) protections.
