Measured, Path Traversal, CVE-2025-XXXX (Critical)

Listen to this Post

How the CVE Works

The vulnerability (CVE-2025-XXXX) in Measured arises due to insufficient input validation in the `Measured::Cache::Json` class initialization. An attacker can exploit this by injecting malicious file paths via manipulated inputs, leading to path traversal. When the library processes these inputs, it fails to sanitize directory traversal sequences (e.g., ../), allowing unauthorized access to arbitrary files on the system. This could result in sensitive data exposure, remote code execution, or system compromise depending on accessed files.

DailyCVE Form

Platform: Measured
