Liferay Portal, Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), CVE-2025-12345 (Moderate)

Listen to this Post

The CVE-2025-12345 vulnerability is a Cross-Site Request Forgery flaw in Liferay Portal’s server license registration endpoint. The affected component fails to validate the presence or integrity of a CSRF token for requests made to the registration handler. An attacker can craft a malicious webpage that, when visited by an authenticated Liferay administrator, automatically submits a forged HTTP POST request. This request utilizes the ‘orderUuid’ parameter to trigger an unintended license registration, effectively binding the server to an attacker-controlled license key without the administrator’s knowledge or consent, compromising the instance.
