itsourcecode Student Information System, SQL Injection, CVE-2025-13581 (Medium)

Listen to this Post

The CVE-2025-13581 vulnerability exists in the itsourcecode Student Information System version 1.0, specifically within the `/schedule_edit1.php` file. This file handles schedule editing functionalities and accepts the `schedule_id` parameter as user input. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient sanitization of this parameter before incorporating it into SQL queries. An attacker can remotely craft malicious HTTP requests containing SQL injection payloads within the `schedule_id` argument. When processed by the application, these payloads are directly concatenated into the backend SQL statement, allowing the attacker to manipulate the database query. This could enable execution of arbitrary SQL commands such as UNION-based queries to extract data, conditional statements for blind injection, or even commands to modify or delete database contents. The attack vector is network-based, requiring low attack complexity and low privileges, but leads to low impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The exploit is publicly available, increasing the risk of widespread exploitation attempts. The CVSS 4.0 score reflects a medium severity with environmental metrics indicating a proactive exploitation status.
