How the CVE Works
The vulnerability arises due to improper bounds checking when loading ExecuTorch methods. A crafted input can trigger a heap-based buffer overflow, corrupting adjacent memory. Attackers can exploit this to crash the runtime or execute arbitrary code by overwriting critical heap structures. The flaw exists in the method-loading logic, where unchecked data sizes lead to out-of-bounds writes. Successful exploitation requires loading a malicious model file, potentially enabling remote code execution (RCE) or denial-of-service (DoS).
