How the mentioned CVE works
The vulnerability in Desktop Alert PingAlert’s Application Server stems from an Incorrect Access Control mechanism. In versions 6.1.0.11 to 6.1.1.2, the server does not properly validate or enforce user privileges for certain remote requests. This flaw allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to send specially crafted commands to the server. By exploiting this weak authorization check, the attacker can execute functions reserved for higher-privileged users, leading to a full Escalation of Privileges and unauthorized control over the system without needing valid credentials.
Platform: Desktop Alert PingAlert
Version: 6.1.0.11-6.1.1.2
Vulnerability: Incorrect Access Control
Severity: Critical
date: 11/14/2025
Prediction: Patch by 12/15/2025
What Undercode Say:
`nmap -p 80,443 `
`curl -X POST http://
`!/bin/bash`
`echo “Testing endpoint access”`
`wget http://
How Exploit:
Remote attackers send unauthenticated HTTP POST requests to privileged application server endpoints, bypassing authorization checks to execute administrative commands and gain system control.
Protection from this CVE
Immediately upgrade Desktop Alert PingAlert to a version beyond 6.1.1.2 once released. If a patch is not available, restrict network access to the Application Server, particularly blocking inbound traffic on its service ports from untrusted networks. Implement strict firewall rules and network segmentation to isolate the vulnerable system.
Impact:
Full system compromise, complete loss of confidentiality and integrity, remote code execution, and privileged administrative access achieved by unauthenticated attackers.
