How the mentioned CVE works:
This vulnerability exists within the SIP media component of Cisco’s TelePresence CE and RoomOS software. When SIP media logging is enabled on a device, the system erroneously stores certain authentication credentials in an unencrypted, plaintext format within the audit log files. These log files are stored locally on the device and may also be transmitted to the Webex Cloud. An attacker who has already obtained valid administrative credentials for the system can remotely or locally access these audit logs. By parsing the log contents, the attacker can retrieve the exposed plaintext credentials. These stolen credentials, which may be for other services or contain PII, can then be used to gain unauthorized access to further sensitive information, escalating their privilege beyond the initial administrative access.
