The CVE-2026-105133 vulnerability represents a critical security flaw affecting Ahsay AhsayCBS backup solutions across all versions up to 10.3.2.
The root cause of the vulnerability resides within the API component, specifically inside the `checkSysPwd` function implemented within the `com/ahsay/obs/api/ApiStructsAction.java` file.
When an API request is processed by the application to check or validate system password structures, it inspects and handles an incoming parameter labeled as random.
Due to insufficient input validation, weak cryptographic verification, and improper sanitization logic applied to this `random` parameter, the authentication check can be manipulated.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can craft and send specially modified parameter values to the vulnerable endpoint, tricking the backend routine into returning a successful authentication status.
This flaw bypasses the standard access control mechanisms entirely, allowing external actors to interact with management functionality without valid administrative credentials.
Because the vulnerable API routes are accessible over the network without requiring user interaction or prior sessions, threat actors can easily discover and exploit the endpoint.
Publicly available exploit scripts leverage this weakness to gain unauthorized initial access, often chaining it with command injection vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code.
Mitigation requires immediate system updates, as the software vendor addressed and resolved this specific improper authentication vector starting in release version 10.3.4.
DailyCVE Form:
Platform: Ahsay AhsayCBS
Version: Up to 10.3.2
Vulnerability: Improper authentication
Severity: Medium
date: October 4, 2026
Prediction: October 2026
What Undercode Say:
Verify vulnerable AhsayCBS version via API endpoint check curl -sk "https://target-server:fixed-port/obs/api/ApiStructsAction.java" Test parameter manipulation for authentication bypass curl -X POST "https://target-server/obs/api/ApiStructsAction.java" \ -d "action=checkSysPwd&random=malicious_manipulated_value"
Analysis indicates that the lack of strict token validation in `checkSysPwd()` enables unauthenticated session hijacking. Security teams must monitor Java class execution paths and audit inbound HTTP POST requests targeting `ApiStructsAction.java` for anomalous `random` parameter strings.
Exploit: (Educational Purposes!)
import requests
url = "https://vulnerable-ahsay-server/obs/api/ApiStructsAction.java"
payload = {
"action": "checkSysPwd",
"random": "bypassed_token_value"
}
response = requests.post(url, data=payload, verify=False)
if "success" in response.text.lower():
print("[+] Authentication successfully bypassed via CVE-2026-105133!")
Protection:
Immediately upgrade Ahsay AhsayCBS to version 10.3.4 or later where the `checkSysPwd` authentication logic is securely patched.
Restrict public internet access to the AhsayCBS management console using firewall rules or VPN whitelists.
Monitor server logs for unexpected POST requests targeting ApiStructsAction.java.
Implement endpoint detection rules to catch post-exploitation tools or unauthorized binary execution.
Impact:
Complete compromise of administrative authentication controls on vulnerable backup servers.
Unauthenticated remote access enabling threat actors to chain further execution flaws (such as CVE-2026-105134).
Deployment of persistent backdoors, web shells, and resource-hijacking cryptominers.
Potential exposure of sensitive backup data and disruption of organizational disaster recovery operations.
