Adobe Experience Manager, Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), CVE-2025-47015 (Critical)

How CVE-2025-47015 Works

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) versions 6.5.22 and earlier fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input in form fields, allowing authenticated low-privileged attackers to inject malicious JavaScript payloads. When administrators or other users access the compromised page, the script executes in their browser session, potentially leading to session hijacking, data theft, or further exploitation. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation in the WCM (Web Content Management) component, where crafted HTML/JavaScript persists in the database and renders without proper encoding.
