A recently discovered vulnerability (CVE-2024-53076) in the Linux kernel can lead to memory leaks. This issue occurs in the iio:gts-helper module and is caused by improper memory management during an error path in the iio_gts_build_avail_scale_table() function.

Luckily, a fix has already been implemented in the latest kernel versions. Users are recommended to update their systems as soon as possible to mitigate this vulnerability.
